Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.

Craniosacral for Infants:

Craniosacral Therapy is especially helpful for infants having sleeping or breastfeeding problems, or for those infants that had a difficult birth.  Sessions are performed in your home or at your birthing location.  I offer one infant craniosacral therapy session with each birth doula package.  This session can be performed immedicately following birth, when the infant is a day old or wait until you and your baby are ready.

Craniosacral for Women:

Craniosacral Therapy can provide relief of pain associated with pregnancy, labor, delivery (vaginal and cesarean deliveries), and the stresses of everyday life.  It has also been shown helpful in treating infertility by bringing balance to the pelvic region.  In addition, craniosacral therapy is effective in helping fetuses move into a favorable position for birth.  I also provide pregnant women instruction for helping to get the baby into an optimal birthing position and keep baby there.
